“Religion. It has given people hope in a world torn apart by religion.”
Strong, evidence-based sociological studies show that the religiosity of a region is directly proportional to its overall perception of despair. That is, religions offer false consolation for the vulnerable and downtrodden. So often, the areas that show the greatest despair are that way from social concepts perpetuated by their dominate religious bodies. Religion creates a real disease to sell a fictitious cure.
